Sheffield Positum Centre provides psychotherapy, counselling, and related mental health support services. Services are provided by qualified and accredited therapists.

Sessions may be offered in-person or via approved online platforms.

We aim to provide professional, confidential, and ethical support but cannot guarantee specific outcomes.

2. Appointments and Cancellations

Appointments must be scheduled in advance via phone, email, or our online booking system.

Cancellation or rescheduling must be notified at least 24 hours before the appointment.

Late cancellations or missed sessions may incur a fee equal to the full session cost.

We reserve the right to cancel sessions due to unforeseen circumstances, in which case a full refund or rescheduling will be offered.

3. Fees and Payment

Fees for services are provided at the time of booking.

Payment is required at or before the start of the session, unless otherwise agreed in writing.

4. Confidentiality

5. Limits of Service

Sheffield Positum Centre does not provide emergency services. In a crisis, please contact NHS 111, Samaritans (116 123), or your local emergency services.

Therapy is not a substitute for medical treatment. Clients are responsible for consulting medical professionals for medical issues.

6. Client Responsibilities

Clients are expected to:

Attend sessions on time.

Communicate openly and honestly with their therapist.

Respect the rights and privacy of other clients if participating in group therapy.

7. Termination of Services

Either party may terminate therapy at any time.

The centre reserves the right to terminate services if a client engages in abusive or illegal behaviour, or if therapy is deemed inappropriate or unsafe.

8. Data Protection

Sheffield Positum Centre complies with UK GDPR and Data Protection Act 2018.

Personal data is collected, processed, and stored securely, and is only used for the provision of therapy services.

You may request access to, correction, or deletion of your personal data at any time.

9. Complaints

Complaints should be submitted in writing via email or post.

We will acknowledge receipt within 5 working days and respond with a resolution or plan within 20 working days.

10. Liability

Sheffield Positum Centre and its therapists are not liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential loss arising from therapy services.

Clients acknowledge that therapy carries inherent risks, including emotional distress.

11. Governing Law

These terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales.

Any disputes will be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of England and Wales.

12. Amendments

We reserve the right to update these Terms and Conditions at any time.

Clients will be notified of material changes via email or on our website.
